Commemorative Plates

Irma’s Starr’s pottery is on display at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, the Smithsonian Institute, and other museums around the world. In 2002, she was commissioned by the Smithsonian Institute to create a 36-inch commemorative plate for the 30th Anniversary of the Renwick Gallery.

Starr was also commissioned by the White House to create a special plate for Bill and Hillary Clinton’s 25th wedding anniversary in 2002 and continues to work on commemorative works of art.

Here are some of the commemorative plates in her collection.
